AutoShutdown is a Windows system shutdown manager. The software provides unattended control for a Windows PC: shutdown, restart, logoff, standby or hibernate your computer based on date/time, idle computer time, hot keys or a manually triggered command. AutoShutdown can also monitor battery level in a notebook computer and act while there is still power available. Systems running Windows 2000 and XP can have AutoShutdown also automatically lock the workstation, securing your work. Different hot key combinations can be set up for each function, to allow quick access to each function. |

$24.95? You've got to be kidding me! Even if it's a freeware, I would still think twice before installing this program. The trial version hasn't really done anything remarkable. It shuts down my computer on a scheduled mode, but fails to notify when everything will be off. I think that's a serious flaw. If you're not cautious, you won't have the time to even save your open files.
Extra tools like the File Clean Up, hotkeys, and battery monitor are cool. However, I suggest that you shutdown, log off, and restart your computer manually. That's a better allternative. Believe me, this program doesn't always work.
